Last updated: 13 October 2026. This notice explains how OKFoodware handles personal data sent through this website, including for visitors in the EU, UK and other regions with data-protection laws such as the GDPR.
What we collect
When you submit the enquiry, sample-kit or market-guide download form we receive the details you enter, such as your name, company, work email, phone or WhatsApp number, market, shipping address, message and any file you attach. Our website host also records standard technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, prepare and ship samples, send quotes and manage any order that follows. Under the GDPR our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries. We do not sell your data or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who processes it
Form submissions are handled by our website host, Netlify, and stored in our business email and records. Site analytics are provided by Google, and live chat by tawk.to. Shipping details are shared with the courier delivering your samples. Some of these providers process data outside your country; where data leaves the EU or UK, we rely on the safeguards the providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) and receives your IP address, browser details and the pages you view. We do not use advertising cookies, and Google signals and ad personalisation are not used.
For visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off until you click Accept on the cookie banner; our legal basis is your consent. Elsewhere, analytics runs by default under our legitimate interest in understanding how buyers use the site, and you can still decline. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings, or block cookies in your browser.
Live chat. The chat window is provided by tawk.to. It sets cookies to keep your conversation open across pages and receives your IP address, browser details and the messages and contact details you type into the chat. For visitors in Europe the chat loads only after you click Accept; elsewhere it loads unless you click Decline. You can always reach us by email or WhatsApp instead.
Your choice is stored in your browser so the banner does not reappear. Fonts are served from our own site rather than a third-party font service.
How long we keep it
For as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any business relationship, and as required by law. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent, by emailing bryce@okfoodware.com. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
This notice should be reviewed by a legal adviser before launch.
