Honest eco packaging

For us, eco means allowed where you sell, right for your food, and backed by documents. Not just a green label.

Our approach

The right material for the market

The greener choice depends on where the pack ends up. A compostable item does little good where there is no composting, and a biodegradable plastic is still plastic under EU law.

So we start with your destination's rules and waste systems, then choose materials that are allowed, that work with your food, and that we can document.

What our materials are, plainly

Paper cups, bowls and boxes

Made from paperboard with a PE, PLA or water-based lining. Recycling depends on local facilities; in the EU, lined cups carry the ‘plastic in product’ marking.

Sugarcane bagasse

Moulded from sugarcane fibre left after sugar production. We supply it with PFAS test reports for the EU and USA, and only call it compostable where a certificate covers the item.

Birch wood and bamboo

Renewable materials for cutlery and stirrers, accepted in every market we serve.

Clear PLA

A plant-based plastic. It can be industrially composted only where certified and where facilities accept it, and it counts as plastic in the EU.

Reusable straws

Steel, glass and silicone straws for retail and gifting, for buyers moving away from single use.

Claims we don't make

PSM is not compostable.

Plant-starch blends (PSM) contain a large share of PP and do not fully break down. We describe them only as ‘partially bio-based’.

Home-compost and marine claims need certificates.

Claims such as ‘home compostable’ or ‘marine degradable’ are used only when a matching certificate, for example TÜV OK compost HOME, covers the exact product.

Fibre and grease-resistant paper need PFAS reports.

Bagasse and grease-resistant paper items ship with PFAS test reports. EU limits include 25 ppb for any single targeted PFAS and 50 ppm for total PFAS, with no transition period.

Tell us where you sell and what you serve.

We'll check the rules for your market, match a kit to your menu and send samples to test with your own food.
