Short answerClear PLA is for 0–45 °C only. It suits cold drinks, salads and chilled food, but not hot food, hot cabinets or food straight from the kitchen.
In more detail
PLA softens and deforms above its working range. The same applies in transport: on long summer voyages we recommend an insulated container liner for PLA items and include it in the quote.
For hot food, choose PE- or PLA-lined paper (0–100 °C) or sugarcane bagasse (approx. −10–120 °C).
Basis: Use temperatures from supply specifications, confirmed per item at quotation.
